RE: Does anyone have

Right behind the cab in the fenderwell. Full wheelwell liners keep this area clean and dry.

RE: Ford SWR and TC

With mine... shocks didn't really help all that much with sway... They helped in other ways! Rear swaybar ... and then tires ... were the things that helped eliminate sway for me.
With the FX4 package you have pretty good shocks already. Suprising to me, I'm quite impressed with the new rancho's. They work better "so far" than the former series that I tried. It is really nice to set them soft in the rear when empty as it is very noticable! The automatic claim ... it's not quite the same... very much like your current package shocks. So, if your fronts seem ok... I'd vote leave them and think about rear adjustables.

RE: Michelin XDS2

If it were me... I'd put in a HD damper ... but would be very surprised if it made much if any difference in the handling as described. Since steel wheels are the only option listed matching OEM offset it tells me that your nearing a double in wheel & tire weight and a better than stock damper couldn't hurt!
That would leave tires... either pressure or some mfg issue as cause candidates. You might try cranking up pressure to see if that helps? Maybe these XDS2's don't do well at lower psi? Hum... I personally liked the feel in highway handling when running considerably higher pressures than what charts listed for my weights.
Anyway... hope you find the answer!

RE: Michelin XDS2

So what could it be? Since you say it goes away with the former wheels & tires, there must be something with the new combination.
Other than a bad tire, I’ve experienced what you describe when running a wheel offset that puts centerline out farther. And … is the OEM vs 19.5 comparison to determine if damper is ok, a good test? My 19.5 were considerably more weight!
I been running front/rear at 90/103psi, though I tried several pressures from what the load to psi chart gives on up and didn’t like the feel at the lower pressures. Extended unloaded travel I leave the front at 90 and drop the rear to 90. Yes, the ride is a bit harsher than OEM but the MPG is great!

RE: Just bought a wireless backup camera from Costco

I have the 3.5 & 2.5 wireless "other" cameras... they both work great! I use one on a stick with magnet to view backing under the camper and the other mounted on the rear of the TC. Give them good clean 12v power (relay) and you shouldn't have too much problem with signal. Certain areas will cause poor signal (some power poles etc...) and if your home is one of those places... wireless might not be your best home backing choice... I might have to go get another one of those 3.5's to mount on the truck topper.

RE: Anyone changed to a toyhauler and then back to TC?

Had a WW FK2100 for a couple years. Smallest, lightest with the most open floorspace of those I considered. Did a spring-over conversion for clearance and while that made washed out road traversing great, it was still a lot of vehicle length with all the height at the rear a definite challenge to negotiate in the mountains (trees, rock overhang, tight corners, etc…).
When looking at most of the TH options ... most had torsion axles and I found nobody locally that would do a lift on them. For twisty/washed out roads leaf springs are better IMO and places had no problem doing an axle flip on those.
My TH was a big box ... temperature control of that open box was quite a challenge. Inside room to wiggle was simply not worth it! Though on a positive note; Gas & oil smell went away right after unloading and was never noticed unless ATV’s were loaded and had traveled for some time.
TC & ATV trailer are so much more maneuverable! No contest! … I’ve had the TH in spots where I had to hang a front wheel off a drop-off edge and just a hair between the trailer and a rock wall. Having all the height & width right over the truck (TC) makes negotiating mountain roads so much more relaxing!
